Can I start without internet?
If there is no internet when you start the trial (click “Try for 7 days”), a local offline trial of up to three days begins. These days count towards the seven-day trial. Connect to the internet to check the remaining time. If the offline trial has ended or its time anchor cannot be verified, a connection is required; your settings are kept.

Does Dock Ultimate replace the macOS Dock?
If you want. The direct edition hides the macOS Dock while Dock Ultimate runs and restores it when you quit. You can also keep both; Dock Ultimate then steps aside at the edge the macOS Dock occupies.

How many docks can I use?
One per screen edge, so up to four on every display. Each dock can have its own icon size from 24 to 128 points.

Can I use the keyboard?
Yes. Turn on Control–Shift–Command–F to focus a dock and move with the arrow keys; Return opens the selected item. Control–Shift–Command–D hides and shows all docks.

Can I take my setup to another Mac?
Export docks, lists, presets and options to a file. When you import it on the other Mac, a preview shows the changes and lets you assign each dock to an available display.

Does Dock Ultimate send my window contents?
No. Preview pictures stay briefly in your Mac’s memory; they are neither saved nor sent. The daily update check sends no dock settings, device ID or version number.

Which languages does the app speak?
German, English and 23 other languages. It follows the language set in macOS; there is no separate switch in the app.

How do I get updates?
Check for updates in General settings or from the menu bar icon. The app downloads, verifies and installs the update and then restarts. With “Update automatically” this happens by itself; the switch is off by default.

What happens after the trial?
You test the whole app for 7 days. Two days before the end you get a notice. After that the docks are hidden until you enter a license key; your settings are kept.
