Questions about Dock Ultimate

Dock Ultimate gives every display of your Mac its own dock. You choose the edge and the apps for each one and keep related apps together in groups. In the direct edition, one click brings a window to the display you are working on.

Dock Ultimate is a universal app for Apple silicon and Intel Macs running macOS 14 or later.

Enable Magic Switch in Dock Ultimate. Click an already running app in the dock on your target display to move its main window there. Accessibility permission is required. Apps and fullscreen windows can impose limits on window movement.

In Dock Ultimate, open Trial and License and paste the complete key from your purchase email. Activation needs an internet connection to license.rogsapps.com. Never post your key in a bug report.

The direct edition is a one-time purchase, with no subscription. The price includes VAT or sales tax. Your contract is with RogsApps; Link (Stripe) handles payment, receipt and invoice, so checkout shows “Sold through Link”. One license covers up to 3 Macs and includes all version 1 updates. Yes, from the sales start. Download the app, open it and test it free for 7 days, without an account and without an email address. You start the trial in the app with a click; without internet, you can test locally for up to three days, counted towards the seven days. Connect to the internet to use the remaining time. Your key is in the purchase email RogsApps sent to the address you entered at Stripe. If you cannot find it, open Trial and License in Dock Ultimate and use “Already Purchased?”: enter your purchase email address and confirm the eight-digit verification code from the email. The app retrieves your license and activates this Mac; this starts neither a trial nor another purchase. If that does not work, write to [email protected] with the order number from the purchase email, never the key itself.

You buy from RogsApps; payment is handled by Link, the merchant-of-record service of our payment provider Stripe. Link sends the receipt and the invoice with the tax included in the price, as a PDF, in a separate email to the address you entered at checkout. Your orders and invoices are also available at link.com. The purchase email from RogsApps with your license key is not an invoice. If the email does not arrive, check your spam folder; for questions about the payment, contact Link support at support.link.com, for anything else write to [email protected] with the order number.

No. From version 1.0.2, the direct edition installs updates itself. Use “Check for Updates” in the app.

Not yet. A Mac App Store edition is in preparation; there is no release date yet. The feature reference marks what differs there.

Quit Dock Ultimate first, then move Dock Ultimate from Applications to the Trash. Check System Settings → General → Login Items if you enabled automatic startup. Your saved settings may remain; contact support if you also want help removing those.

Yes. Dock Ultimate gives every connected display its own dock, at the bottom, left, right or top edge. Each dock can hold different apps, folders and groups, so your second monitor gets the apps you use there.

Install Dock Ultimate, open its settings and choose the display and edge for each dock. Presets can load your arrangement automatically when you plug in your displays.

The Mac has the Dock instead, at the bottom, left or right edge of the screen. Dock Ultimate is a dock as well, not a copy of the Windows taskbar: it adds docks on every display and all four edges, with groups, folders and window previews.

Window previews stay in memory for a moment; they are not saved or sent. This website includes no analytics or advertising scripts and no tracking pixels.
