On the laptop screen every bit of space counts; at your desk there is room to spare. Set up both once and let Dock Ultimate switch between them.
Put the dock on the left or right edge and keep the full height of the screen for your content. Icon sizes start at 24 points, and the distance to the screen edge goes from 0 to 40 points.

Docks can slide away and appear when the pointer reaches their edge. Decide for each dock: always visible, hidden automatically or following the general setting.

Link presets to up to eight display setups, such as your desk or a meeting room. About two seconds after you connect or disconnect a monitor, the matching one loads. It can ask first, and the last load can be undone.

When you unplug, the docks of the external monitor stay selectable in the overview and come back when you connect it again. A switch decides whether a monitor seen for the first time gets a dock at its bottom edge.

Dock Ultimate can resize windows that reach beneath a dock so they end at its edge, maximized windows included when the app allows it. Needs the Accessibility permission.
